The final chapter. The end is here. A series of 15 episodes, collected
at one point to showcase, intrigue, mayhem, unpredictability, and
curiosity in regard to those walking around you.
The recipe for the show was one for the ages. Add on true BACON flavor,
and a giant network like FOX and you have a juggernaut television show
once again.
Or so we thought many months ago.
This most recent episode of The Following, Season 1, Episode 15,
entitled, The Final Chapter, isn't really the final chapter of
anything, in particular - this show. The feedback we've received for
this episode will give you more of a surprise than the ending of this
episode did, that's certain.
So - 15 weeks in. Here we are, it's time for another complete episode
review of The Following, Season 1, Episode 15 the season finale - The
Final Chapter here on The Following Podcast from 2GuysTalking.
I can remember a time when I was 18, the summer was just arriving, the
hot, but tepid Wisconsin sun shone on us all poolside, getting a tan
that - well as a pasty white kid, was pretty Brazilian for what I
usually walked around with. Days were filled with a post-high school
carelessness, where things were all good. Responsibilities weren't
stomping like needy, soulless children on our feet daily, and well - it
was a very special time.
And then came the day when it was time to be an adult. The day my Dad
and bonus Mom came to me and said that it was time to pay - rent.
I remember sitting in the middle of my best friend's parents pool, on on
an inflato-raft one last time that summer, realizing that "the end was
near". Well in this episode, the "end" is really relative, isn't it?
After all, The Following has been reviewed for another whole season
(shortly after episode 4 of this season no less), and well - there's at
LEAST 16 more episodes of this program that await two venerable
entertainment podcasters, and millions of fans across the world.
So what did WE think of this episode, "The End is Near?" Join us as we

1.) a harbor or port.
2.) any place of shelter and safety; refuge; asylum.
3.) to shelter, as in a haven.
What we're given here inside not so lucky episode 13 of Season one of
The Following on Fox is well nothing I would call shelter, safety, but I
would evoke the word asylum, only in that we'd have to be in one to
enjoy this most recent episode.
Again, you folks are saying the same thing we are for the most part:
this is a television show, and we realize that reality is somewhere
between what we imagine and what the writers provide here each week, but
- this program is now behind Two Broke Girls currently - 4th place -
though it IS beating 90210 in the ratings which is - well that's
terrible, folks. 550,000 viewers down in week 13, down from by millions
of viewers when we launched, and tumbling fast so - what's a
professional podcaster to do? The answer? It's a simple one. We press
on, make the season something special with our continued, unique brand
of viewer education podcasting and knuckle up as we head for Havenport -
The Followings 13th episode on Fox - reviewed here on The Following

What with the pain and literal regret of having to witness last episode,
"Whips & Regret" this week's episode of The Following also seems a bit
well-named - The Curse.
Without putting a strangely baker's-chocolate flavor on the whole
evening - Look folks, we're as eager as you are to sit down, grab a cold
drink and enjoy some bacon-flavored entertainment every week on Monday.
It would be one thing if Ryan Hardy could be somehow reinstated, and put
back into place as an investigator with a firearm and arresting powers
and walk amongst the other FBI agents to - well wait a second - he IS?
None of the prior trouble, outcastness, quitterifickery of one Ryan
Hardy has had any impact on our hero or his entourage that is almost
complete re-integrated inside THIS episode, The Curse. Long Breath.
Well here we go - week 12, of FOX' renewed for Season 2,
horror/thriller/action showcase, that is now literally the program
featuring the only man I'm really interested in watching get his heart
checked out.

The 2GuysTalking Podcast
series has been looking for another standard network program to "follow"
and not surprisingly, over a year ago when we began the season 6 review
of DEXTER, we'd heard about a new, innovative, ground-breaking twisty-turny
program called - the following. The true value? Mr. 6 Degrees of
separation himself, Kevin Bacon, and a new heart-actually pacemaker
pumping edge of your seat story that couldn't be denied. We JUMPED at
the domain names, we ha a custom piece of podcast theme music created,
the foundation was set, and finally, at the end of our recent
2GuysTalking DEXTER Podcast completion, we made the details to take on
this new FOX-based train - The Following. Was the pilot episode an
undeniable load hauler, or an undeniable load out of the gate? We'll
find out tonite as we rifle through the first episode pilot for The
Following here on 2GuysTalking, The Following!
